Gloomy, rainy day here, so thought I’d brighten with this warm but Endangered I’iwe (pronounced “ee ee-vee”) endemic to Hawaii. Habitat destruction and invasive species are killing off this brilliant songbird. They probe flowers for nectar. #hawaii #birds #songbirds #iiwebird #redbird #endangeredspecies #ronspomeroutdoors
