San Bushman bows are tiny, probably because they didn t have access to large trees suitable for bow making. As a result, their arrows are more like darts with tiny points. To be effective, the shaft/wrappings behind the points were smeared with poison extracted from beetle larvae. Stuck animals had to be followed for 2 or 3 days while the poison worked, part of the reason Bushmen are such famously superb trackers.  _MG_8504.jpg
