Winter herds should be breaking up soon, the cows wandering off to introduce new calves to a hard, cruel world -- to the joy of bears and wolves. #wildlifephotography #wildlife #elk #predation #ronspomeroutdoors

Throwback Thurs shows me with a 1990 elk taken about a mile from my backdoor. Ultra Light Arms M20 in 284 Win., Leupold 2.5-8x36 scope. One 140-gr. Nosler Partition anchored him. We ate high off the elk all winter. Cool camo, no? #rifles #elkhunting #nula #284winchester #leupold #noslerpartition #ronspomeroutdoors
