Will winter never end? If you ve ever endured a winter on the Northern Plains where snow falls in mid-November and sticks until late March, you ll recognize this South Dakota bitter country scene. Wind blown grass, packed snow and a brilliant sun dog at the end of the day. Milking time. Cats purring in the barn, steam rising from the backs of the Holsteins.
